The Deed is Done (Finally)

The podiatrist operated on my toe this morning. It hurt quite a bit and hurts quite a bit right now... even with a strong pain killer in my system. At first, they weren't going to permanently destroy the nerves, but I said I want it done. So, she killed the nerves with some chemicals soon after removing the part of the nail. But first, she injected me with anesthetics... which hurt... a lot... Then, they cut and twisted and pulled out the part of the nail. I didn't feel that (THANK GOD!)... Finally, they poured the chemicals and cleaned it up a bit... So, I have to soak it each day for 10 minutes until leakage stops. So... it's not hurting as much as last time when they removed the whole nail. It stings right now, but I have it up, so blood's not rushing there...

Hopefully, I won't have to go through this again =)
