I... was not. We lived in NC, about an hour and a half away from Busch Gardens Europe in Williamsburg, Virginia... I, never having gone on a roller coaster (and deathly afraid of riding one), never even considered going on any of the coasters. My parents even tried to bribe me with $50 if I went on a roller coaster one time we went there.... Nope... didn't take the deal...
Well, enough was enough. People were pressuring me (and my sister) to ride one... I guess I decided I would just go on one to make people happy so I never had to hear all this junk about you'll love it and stuff like that... Well, they decided we'd go and ride "The Timber of Terror"... has a pleasant sound to it, doesn't it ;)
So, I decided what's the worst that could happen? and decided to go ride one... Well, the line was quite long... 40 minutes or so of a wait..... ugggggg....
But when we finally got to the front, the nerves all became so strong that they cancelled each other out (like a negative times a negative in math) and I got on without really a fear in the world... Well, the way the ride worked is they didn't save the best for last... They put it right up in front of the start. We quickly went up a steep hill and rocketed down below! Then, we took some sharp curves, some little hills and the whole way, I was screaming my head off... Well, most of it... and in a good way....
I was actually having........ fun? Could it be? They.... didn't lie?! ;D
Well, as soon as it stopped I wanted to go again... despite my dizziness... But, the line was actually getting longer.... So, we decided to move on... We went on the Pacific Northwest's Longest Roller Coaster, "Tremors"... which, we rode close to the back, so I got a better experience. There were a lot more falls and a lot more speed... And we got a picture of me actually....... *GASP!* Smiling? *sarcastic voice:* No....! ;D
Then, we rode "The Corkscrew", which went upside down a few times... Which was really fun! And then.... just for the heck of it (because there was no lines), we rode it again... We almost rode it a third time...
Oh... WHAT A RUSH! ;)

I am a roller coaster JUNKIE !! And so is Sean ! I am so glad you finally had the experience and enjoyed it .... they are a blast. I rode the Rattler (which is a wooden roller coaster in San Antonio) right after they built is .... OMG .... but too many people were getting hurt so they modified it to slow it down, in my opinion they messed it up but yes everyone needs to be safe!
Should have listened...and taken the $50.
I practically guarantee you'll never have another offer like that...again.

I'm so jealous Bob. Treamors is one of my favorite rides and it was my DD first roller coaster (at 4 years old. I miss Silverwood so much. How's the back after riding the corkscrew twice?

YOU MISSED OUT ON $50 AND THEN DID THE RIDE ANYWAY??!!
And X OFFERED $50 to get you to ride a rollercoaster?!! What's up with that? I guess he learned good ol' fashioned nagging and peer pressure are much more effective. ;)
Actually, I think my sons are motivated to go on them just to see me screaming and then seeing the funny photos of me at the end.
Glad you ended up enjoying it. :)
