So, let's see here... I launched a new virtual and no one has found it. It's had a ton of problems and it has people completely confused... which I don't want... But, I'm pretty sure I've gotten all the problems worked out... we'll see ;)
My mind still thinks I'm in Oregon. I've been having dreams about being back there in school... And, sometimes even dreaming about my time in NC (probably because of my recent trip there).... I'm enjoying it here and then again, I'm not. I don't mind our weekly trips into the city because I get to see some history, but I don't want to get hooked on them because I have some big, big hopes of moving back to Seaside, OR next summer.... I'm hating the humidity, but it's going away slightly as we move into the fall.
I'm also not exactly pumped to be going back to school in 8 days... And, I'm not exactly pumped to be going from a school of 500 to a few thousand kids. It doesn't particularly appeal to me to be going to a much bigger high school than I have... Oh yeah... And, note to self: finish those reading worksheets and study for the two book tests you have as soon as you get back to school.... (You can probably guess I'm not exactly pumped for those either.)
Anyways, enough about school... I still have a week and a day..... until my life outside of school... my joy.... my enjoyment.... go away... YAY! Can't wait... *rolls eyes*
We took our weekly trip into DC this weekend and went into the Air and Space Smithsonian... Which was enjoyable... The planitarium show about Black Holes was pretty enjoyable =) And I liked that my dad knew a lot about the stuff with the airplanes and helped me understand the exhibits a little bit better....
Of course, we didn't get to see much of it... But, that's alright, that means there's more for another weekend...
The food in the suburbs is good too... Italian, especially! We've had Italian a few times this week with friends and we probably will again soon... It was better than any Italian food they had anywhere else we've lived. The restaurants are right up there with Olive Garden =)
And the food isn't good only at the restaurants... We've been eating a ton of my dad's porkloin barbeque... mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... And....... I think I actually like it better than the Carolina barbeque... I know, I know: GASP!! How could you betray us, Bob!! ;)
Anyways, I'm quickly discovering that VA has its perks and disadvantages... One of them (not sure whether it's a good or bad thing) is that the dentist (where I have to go to later today) is within walking distance.... And, friends aren't too far away, either ;)
People call me lucky because I get to experience a lot of places a lot of people don't.... Yeah, you're lucky if you're in a place you want to be.... But, it really sucks if you're in a place you don't want to be, especially if you have to move away from a place you liked... and still want to be....
