The DC Art Gallery

Today, we went to downtown DC on our weekly adventure. (We've decided that every Sunday we're going to go to DC to see another museum.) Last week, we took 25 minutes to get there by car. And, my sister demanded that next week we take the metro... So, today, we did.

Well, the metro wasn't what she remembered. She thought it was going to be a quicker way into town and she wasn't going to have to wait for the metro to start on its track. Well, almost as soon as we started moving, she started to whine... and, being as loud as she usually is, we all had to listen to it the whole ride there.... and, even while we were there.

My dad and I (mostly me) were making fun of her and laughing about it. She got even madder and started yelling at us to stop.... She went on and on to the point where I made several comments along the lines of I wonder if they sell earplugs somewhere around here....

So, moving off the venting, we first went into an art gallery. It was great! They had art depicting all sorts of stuff. My dad found several things that peaked his interest because they were made of wood.

I could feel the emotions the artists had when they were creating these. One of the most depressing pieces was a large, dark, clay rabbit hiding in the corner with it's eyes closed tightly. It was titled "i am nobody", which I found incredibly sad.

I thought it was definitely an amazing place.

We walked around, went by the White House twice and went into the White House information center a few blocks away... I didn't find it too interesting...

We took the metro back home and my sister got annoyed at my dad for playing a joke on her.... Gosh, there's no pleasing her, is there?
